THIRD WORLD WAR IS DECLARED...!!!
Yes, you have read it right. The Third World War is declared but this time it is going to be fought in a different manner and on different agendas. This is not going to be a traditional kind of war. You might find yourself fighting on the battlefield against your own loved ones as well. So now the question that arises is that what kind of war is it going to be and what is the reason for it?
The reason that I’m going to share is very shocking but you will agree with me. The reason for a third world war will be none other than ‘WATER’. Water which gives life to everyone is also going to be the reason one day when we human beings are going to kill each other because of lack of water. Water resources are getting depleted day by day. The natural resource which used to be available in abundance decades back has reached its capacity in major parts of the world. Majority of the world’s population nowadays is fulfilling its essential and basic needs of water by purchasing it. Reservoirs, Lakes, Filled wells, Hand-Pumps and other aquifers of the same kind are getting difficult to trace on GOOGLE MAPS and neither the world’s satellites showing positive results when it comes to finding good quality of drinkable water.
Don’t you think that this crisis is taking place because of residents of the earth? Just because it is free of cost, we never valued it and now we are facing high negative consequences of it and with the growing population, the demand from the agricultural and industrial sector, the situation is more likely to get worse.
Now comes a very thought provoking part. Read the following paragraph to get the basic knowledge about the current worst conditions -
Recently I came to know that the increase in the Population and a record drought, perhaps takes place because climate change, is sparking one of the world's most dramatic urban water crises, as South African leaders warn that residents are increasingly likely to face "Day Zero”. This is happening in Cape Town which is one of the most high profile city in South Africa. Day Zero was being declared in Cape Town which means that water taps are going to get dried because no more water will be available in that city. It was earlier projected to take place in the Mid-April in 2018 but luckily rain falls for a couple of days and now the date for the Day Zero is shifted to Mid-June - a possibility which is now considered inevitable. Cape Town's main water supply, the THEEWATERSKLOOF DAM, is running dry, and the city may soon have to turn off its taps. Cape Town officials are making plans to store emergency water at military installations, and say using water taps to fill pools, water gardens, or wash cars is now illegal. Authorities stepped up water-theft patrols at natural springs where fights broke out, according to local press reports.
Shocking…!!! Isn’t it? But be prepared for the worst. This water crisis has led to multiple numbers of problems all around the world.
Do you know that a major reason behind the extensive amount of terror activities all-around of the world is Water? If you don’t know, then it is my responsibility to let you know about this. The majority of the population of African countries and Middle-East countries are getting moved or I should say getting migrated to Asian countries and other parts of the world because of the scarcity of the water. The scarcity of water then leads to Tension, Issues resulting in conflict, and Terrorism. The major contribution to terrorism comes from SYRIA but do you know that way back Syria is known for its brilliant agriculture and harvesting activities all around this planet. The water was there in abundance. But then TURKEY built a dam in Syria and then everything has changed literally within no time. The same sort of stories are there with the LYBIA as well.
Now let’s talk about a bit of India. The nation which is going to have the population size more than that of China within the upcoming years. Problems of the scarcity of water are very extensive in India also. States like Rajasthan are suffering from high scarcity of water and it is there in multiple parts of the country also. Pollution, Cutting of Trees, Water wastage, Industrial effluents are one of the major contributors to this problem in India.
Now let’s take a look at India’s history. India is known for its brave and popular rulers all around the world. Members of the society used to worship them like god and these rulers used to have a very high fan following. People used to trust them. The major reason behind such royal treatment is that the rulers used to provide and built Wells, Water Reservoirs, Rivers, etc. for the peoples. Kunds, Lakes, Sarovars, etc. are all been started by these Rulers. They used to live in open areas having a high amount of greenery or I should say close to nature. The trees were there in abundance. Rains fall in more than the adequate amount and in the maximum amount of places. Drought-hit areas were very difficult to encounter during those days. These rulers gave birth to such amount of culture in India. People used to worship rivers and trees. Let me remind you that one of the world’s most sacred rivers is there in India – The GANGA, and the YAMUNA. But slowly and slowly with the evolution of industrialization and adoption of western culture, we have lost our identity. The sacred rivers of India like The Ganga and The Yamuna are now one of the dirtiest rivers of the world. The quality of water is very bad and even in some places, it is not even suitable for drinking for animals also. We cut the trees to fulfill our basic need of shelter. Big buildings are being constructed on the forest land by cutting down trees. Cutting down of trees directly result in a decrease in the amount of rainfall. Metropolitan cities like DELHI, MUMBAI, etc. already have started to face the problem of lack of water.
But is it really the end..? I don’t think so. If even from today we take necessary precautionary steps towards the optimum utilization and minimum wastage of water, we can overcome this issue. But it cannot be done by a single individual. Whole community support is required.
I am giving some very basic ideas to overcome this issue of Water Crisis –
- Legal systems need to be made stronger. We all talk about HUMAN RIGHTS but the time has come to start taking steps towards making and implementing NATURE RIGHTS.
- Try to conserve more and more rainwater in the form of Rain Water Harvesting.
- Have at least one plant in your homes and take a proper care of it. If you take care of it now then it will take care of you and your future generation.
- Bath by using Bucket and Mug instead of using Shower and Tub.
- Amount of liters of water (desired quantity) to be used per family should be fixed.
- Illegal systems of Water Selling should be fixed and stop. Water is now being used as an illegal source of trade. Packaged water bottles, treated water, illegally licensed water treatment and selling plants should be immediately stopped who sells the bad quality of water by fooling the citizens.
- Time of water supply should be fixed based on the basis of demand in every region.
- Areas, where water is not sufficient, should be provided at least one minor dam to conserve the rain water.
- The quantity of water to be supplied to Hospitals, Schools, Hotels, Industries, etc. should be fixed. A proper audit should be made by the proper authority to check and investigate that whether water is getting properly used in such places or not. If not, strict actions must be taken against the culprits.
- Plant more and more trees as much as you can.
While concluding it, one thing that I would like to say again is that surely this is not the end. we need to start taking necessary steps from today itself. I have written this article not to scare you, but to motivate you to make your present and future secure by valuing the world’s most beautiful gift of nature, i.e., WATER. If you value it, it will give its benefits not only to you but the future generation also.
Be Empathetic. Be Grateful.
Thank you…!!!
