Guests and Relatives --- Fucked-Up Souls…!!!

You must have heard about a very renowned statement --- “Atithi Devo Bhav” --- Guest is Like a God so treat him like a God. And there is no denying that this practice is being followed blindly and whole-heartedly all around the world, but in India, it is practiced with more intensity, higher interest, high caliber, and a much higher passion. Welcome to Incredible India, the country where a guest is treated like a God. Of course, we are the ones who have set the benchmarks in this field.

We love guests… Isn’t it…??? They bring fun and gossips to our 1 & 2 BHKs. If I talk particularly about my family, there you will find that we also are following the crowd and we love to do so. Except Me…!!!

I all together go opposite to the flow, and I’m very much sure about this that there are plenty of head counts who are having the same perspective as mine after reading this one further. This one is especially for them, for safeguarding their interest as I have taken an oath for saving such ‘Tortured from Guest’s Souls.

Now read the following points with a little extra bit of caution and focus. This is what I observe when a guest arrives ---

  • In India, your relative’s children will always have better academic, career, achievement record than yours.
  • You are going to receive a call from that relative about whom you have never heard of or you don’t even know his name or face when his children got placed in an organization with a good package or gone for a foreign trip.
  • During the visits, when you ask them that what would they like to have, first they are going to say that --- “In sbki kya jrurt hai, formality kis bt ki” and after serving, the same guest have clean your entire snack plate and made it look like a newly bought plate from the high-class luxurious grocery store giving tough competition to bonne-china grocery. (Observe this next time)
  • ‘Comparison’ ---  A term coined by relatives.
  • Your mother is always going to love the saree of a female guest.
  • Tobacco packet worth Rupee 5 is shared like 750 Rs./Kg. Kaju Katli.
  • They love to share nonsense, ridiculous things & PJs with your parents and they also will support them by giving a symphony sort of LOL.
  • To remove unnecessary habits from our daily lives, we need to boycott relatives. A female guest can make your mother fond of daily soaps and a male guest can teach your father health benefits of eating tobacco.

  • Remove guest from your life to make your parents believe in yourself and stop comparing which is nowadays a very strong reason that why this generation is becoming an indoor generation. They have stopped interacting with others because of the Fear of losing is increasing day by day in their mindset. By listening nonsense achievements of others, parents today tend to force their kid to go in the same career option.
  •  A relative can eat your #Namkeens and #Samosas free of cost in the name of strengthening the bond. They do eat a lot...!!!
  • They are always going to realize you and your family that they are A+ players and you come in the B+ category.
  • They always appear during the busiest time of the day after finishing all of their daily routines and extra work. Remember the last time a guest appears at your home during the dinner preparation time when your father has just arrived from his office. Quite Irritating that too with unannounced arrivals.
  • This one is for males --- Relative’s wife is always more beautiful and hot as compared to……… (You know the answer).
  • They are going to advise your parents about choosing your career option.
  • Show off at it's best - "Humare yaha toh roz 4 sabziyaan banti hain"

I have written this one after getting completely fed up with my family relatives and I’m pretty much sure that at some point in your life, you also have gone through one or the other situation mentioned above. I personally have gone through with each one of them, at least for once in my entire life and even much more than that.

See you all again, time to take the sleep.
Will come back again to make you guys think.

#ThisWillMakeYouThink

Thanks & Regards
