DUAL SPECIALIZATIONS

GLA University provides MBA with dual specializations. Students have the full freedom to choose any specialization according to his career goals that he/she wants to pursue. It includes the specializations such as Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management, Banking and Insurance Management, Operations Management, Information Technology Management, Business Analytics Management, International Business Management, etc. In the year 2017, it has also started the specializations such as MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management which is in collaboration with Safeduacte which is a venture of India’s leading Logistics Management Company, Safexpress and also in the year 2018, it has launched another specialization named as MBA in Financial Markets and Banking (MBA-FMB). This program would be benefited from the association of GLAU-IBM with National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), an educational initiative of Security Exchanges Board of India (SEBI), as Institute of Business Management is an approved centre of NISM. TRIMESTER SYSTEM

They aren’t running a traditional type of Post-Graduation Course as being run by different universities with semester systems. They are very determined for providing a good career to their students and that’s why they run trimester system or you can say 3 semesters in One Year. The trimester examinations are conducted two times in one trimester, one mid-trimester and one end-trimester. Course for each subject is divided accordingly between both of these examinations. It might look hectic from the word go, but as soon as the time rolls out, students start getting adjusted to this system and then began to realize the merits of it once they will go into their respective organizations. It brings discipline to the student’s personality which is an essence for getting the success in the corporate world. The grading system is being used for marks allocation. 75% attendance is a must for appearing in the examinations in every trimester.

INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE

They provide real industrial exposures to the students in the form of Industrial Visits, Internships, Research Projects, Assignments, Guest Lectures from the individuals belongs to different industries, etc. After the completion of the 1^st year, students will have to do a minimum 45 days Summer Internship in any of the organization that he/she desires and in any of the specializations that he has chosen from all the options. Students are being asked to choose their specializations just before the completion of the 1^st year. During the whole internship project, students are being assigned one faculty mentor to guide them throughout his whole project so that no important domain remain untouched. The same process is being followed for Research Project as well.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The MBA at GLA University is not at all only about studies and studies. Many sorts of Co-curricular activities are also being organized by the department from time to time. There are competitions, parties, cultural activities and much more for the students so that overall skills of them can be boosted. One Annual Cultural Fest is also being organized named AGRATA, which basically held for around 2 days and basically covers more than 20 types of competitions and activities such as Business Plan, Management Quiz, Dance, Singing, Games, Art, Culture and many more. The activities are fully managed and coordinated by the faculties and students together so that the leadership, as well as the management skills of the students,  can also be improved.
